Scope

1.1 This Standard covers the procedure for certification of factory-built houses, including modular, panelized, and mobile homes.

It provides for (a) certification of the plant quality program; (b) certification of the product built; (c) auditing of the plant quality program; and (d) in-plant inspection of the product built.

1.2 This Standard does not cover those portions of structures or services that are not factory-installed, nor the subsequent transport and erection of the product at site.
